The Norwegian Solar Cell Conference (NSCC) (The Norwegian Solar Cell Conference (NSCC) 2025 was arranged in sunny Son.) is arranged yearly, and in 2025 it connected 120 professionals within the Norwegian community to present and discuss the status and role of PV in Norway and Europe. The conference contained two exciting days filled with presentations and discussions of recent scientific, technological, and industrial development in the solar cell industry. It covers topics such as solar cell and module technology, building-integrated PV, PV power plants in Nordic conditions, and disruptive PV technologies.
CIRCMAN5.0 was represented by IFE at the conference, and we presented a poster presentation within the topics Re-use and recycling and Environmental impact and social acceptance of PV production. Our poster was titled “Exploiting Circular Manufacturing and Standardization within Integrated PV”, and in addition to presenting the important work performed in the CIRCMAN5.0 project as a whole, we focused on the pilot cases and the expected exploitable results from all partners in the consortium.
Our presentation received several interesting questions, many of which were related to the importance of our developed tools and the importance of circularity and sustainability in PV manufacturing in Europe. It is clear that CIRCMAN5.0 covers an important topic for the Norwegian PV industry, as well as in Europe. The focus on several stages of the manufacturing value chain is a crucial point of interest, as well as the many expected results such as the development of more than 5 digital tools, full cradle-to-grave life cycle analysis of PV products, digital product passports, digital twin services, and recommendation engine for R-strategies.
The participation of CIRCMAN5.0 at NSCC this year contributed to the conversation, and was a good example of how the CIRCMAN5.0 project partners represent and communicate the project to a wider audience.
